“The Reveal,” is the final act in most mentalism and magic routines. A final revelation of the chosen card, thought of destination, answer to a question about a participant’s future, or even what kind of ice cream a person likes best, can determine the impact it has by the way the performer manages it.
By using simple storytelling approaches, it is possible to transform a ho-hum routine, regardless of how accurate the reveal may be, into a meaningful and memorable moment for an audience.
Several narrative styles will be applied to effects that YOU do as well as step-by-step guidance to improve any trick with just a few changes. If time allows, we’ll workshop effects for further ideas.

We will look at how to adapt effects to fit your brand and clarify what the audience perceives fits. Sometimes what we think is clear to an audience is perceived quite differently. What are your strengths and how can selecting the right material that forwards your story help you? The proper costume, persona, performance set all help sell your brand for you, and bring you to another level of immersive entertainment.
Vlad will offer several examples of effects that he brought into line to work in his brand.

Some of the material is revamped and reimagined old-time mediums tricks while others are new ideas never seen before. Topics include but are not limited to, working with slates, pendulums, and the haunted key. These techniques are perfect for close-up and parlor-sized mysteries.
Of special note, Joe will be sharing his latest work on Spirit Photos within the realm of Instant and Smartphone technology.

John Ferrentino has spent the last 8 years researching and inventing Seance effects with magic creator Joe Silkie and Chris Sipes of Arcane Relics to have a truly unique Séance experience and Lecture.
The lecture is based on creating stories, building effects, keep a believable thread throughout the entire seance, it will include:
- Performing in 300 plus seat theaters.
- Bring your Seance to modern times.
- Creating a story thread from nothing.
- Not all seances need to be grim and scary.
- How to add some comedy without losing the mood.
- Use of music
John has performed world-wide since 1972 in every condition and type of venue; bars to cruise ships to massive theaters and over 50 TV shows sets.
His Séance has a fresh approach that magicians and audiences love. At the 2019 IBM Convention, 450 people attended. John has performed his kind of Seance in 300 seat theaters, black box theaters, and conference breakout rooms. He has lectured at magic clubs and the Magic castle and conventions. This is an ever-evolving lecture with new materials added on a periodic basis as additional effects and routines are created.

Segueing into The Georgia Wonder Act, which has been a cornerstone to Tiffany’s show for over a decade, she is bringing her research to the public. Here, you will learn not only how the act works, but psychologically why it works. Take a peek behind the curtain and see how Tiffany has updated the act for modern audiences, and how you can use it in your own show with an audience member with zero pre-show. You will also learn about the three women that founded the Georgia Wonder Act, and their marketing skills as well: Annie Abbott, Mattie Lee Price, and Lulu Hurst.
In keeping with the legacy of marketers and Georgia Wonders, Tiffany will close out the lecture with a quick talk on social media marketing and how to harness it for your show and business.

Join John for a new interactive lecture/workshop on “The Magic of Nursery Rhymes”. There will be a brief discussion of the dark history of some of our famous nursery rhymes. Then attendees will be split off into groups along with some simple classic magic props and together work on creating a unique and new presentation based on a nursery rhyme. Worksheets will be provided to help spur the creative process.
At the end of the workshop all presentations will be collected and compiled and put together in a PDF that will be shared with all.

Developing skills in oracles and divinations can and should be another tool in the tool box as a paranormal entertainer. Offering this to clients adds value to your services, increases ticket sales and provides additional income streams. Vince Johari will explain and present a variety of different reading systems and how to add magical effects.
